Long-Term Work Visa – Bulgaria

Hassle-free visa processing for your travel needs.

Overview

The Long-Term Work Visa (Type D) allows non-UK citizens residing in the UK to enter Bulgaria for long-term employment under specific provisions of the Bulgarian Foreigner’s Act (Article 24i, 24k, 33k, 33p). This visa is typically issued to individuals who have secured employment in Bulgaria and need sufficient time to apply for a residence permit.

The visa is valid for 6 months with multiple entries, allowing applicants to register with the Bulgarian Migration Office and obtain a residence permit for continued employment.

Who Can Apply?

This visa is intended for non-EU/EEA nationals residing in the UK who meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Holders of a work permit issued by the Bulgarian Employment Agency (Article 24i, 24k).
  • Highly qualified professionals with an EU Blue Card (Article 33k).
  • Intra-corporate transferees employed by multinational companies (Article 33p).
  • Individuals engaged in specific employment sectors requiring authorisation from the Migration Police(Article 24k).

All applicants must hold a valid UK residence permit and a signed employment contract or work assignment in Bulgaria.
